Frequently Asked Questions
How do you pronounce your name?
- Latiolais is a Cajun French name, pronounced "Latch-o-lay."
What is the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?
- Psychiatrists are medical doctors who prescribe medication, while psychologists treat emotional issues with talk therapy.
My marriage is in trouble but what if my spouse won't come to therapy?
- Marriage therapy works best with both parties present, but there is still work that can be accomplished if only one spouse is willing to attend sessions.

I am feeling suicidal. Can you see me immediately?
What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
- CBT is a very well-researched approach to many problems, including anxiety and depression. CBT helps by actively identifying negative self-talk and changing counter-productive behaviors. I have found CBT to be a very effective way of helping people regain control over their feelings.
How do I know if I will be able to establish a comfortable working relationship with you?
- Any psychologist should be willing to speak with you by phone and answer any questions you have about their approach to therapy. Usually, this will give you an impression of whether your personality styles will be a good fit. I can be reached at 770 205-1751, Monday through Thursday.
What are your fees?
- Fees are $125 per session hour payable at the time of the session. This applies to therapy, as well as testing.
What about filing insurance forms?
- I do not file insurance claims. I do, however, provide a detailed list with all of the codes needed to file for insurance reimbursement.
